Service, repair or upgrade your existing alarm
We service, repair and replace existing security systems. We can also advise you on upgrading to a system with mobile control and notifications.
A conventional alarm typically uses magnetic contacts on external doors, passive infrared (PIR) detectors in selected rooms, a control panel or keypad near the exit, and an external bell or siren. Connected systems build on this familiar protection with additional ways to control your alarm and receive alerts.
Stay informed wherever you are
Depending on the system and detectors installed, notifications can alert you to an intruder alarm, fire, flooding or a loss of power. You can also receive updates when the alarm is set or unset, including who operated it and when. This can be useful when checking that family members have arrived home or that staff have secured the premises.
Systems with SMS support can send text messages to a compatible mobile phone; a smartphone is not required for these messages. Supported configurations can notify several recipients, commonly up to eight phone numbers, with different alerts assigned to different people. The available options depend on the equipment and communication service.
Notifications can be configured for authorised family members, neighbours or other nominated contacts. Monitoring and guarding arrangements can also be discussed as part of the system design.
Make more of the equipment you already have
An upgrade may involve replacing the control panel while retaining compatible detectors that are still in serviceable condition. Wireless devices can extend the system where running new cables would be difficult.
With suitable interfaces and connected equipment, supported systems can also control lighting, heating, appliances, garage doors or electric gates. Depending on the configuration, these functions can be operated from a handheld controller or mobile phone.
